Play, Learn, Grow!
Maroondah Toy Library has over 4600 fun, educational toys, games, puzzles and activities available to borrow to suit children from 0-6 years, plus a super huge range of over 270 of the latest and best board and strategy games for older kids and adults.
We also hire out jumping castles, roller coasters, ball pits bubble machines and other large party toys suitable for children from 2-5 years.
Toy Library Closure
In response to recent government direction concerning the COVID-19 situation, our toy library will unfortunately close for the duration of the government mandated shutdown.
We're pleased to offer a free Click and Collect service to our members during out closure.
We thank you for your ongoing support and understanding during this time. We think our members are absolutely fabulous and hope to bounce back bigger and better than ever once we reopen!
Maroondah Toy Library is a not-for-profit, community-run toy library operating since 1979. We currently loan toys to over 600 families from all over eastern Melbourne - not just from Maroondah! We have a wide range of over 4600 quality toys, games, activities and equipment available to borrow for a minimal annual fee – we operate like a book library, only lending toys and games.
We are based in Tortice Drive, Ringwood North, at the Parkwood Community Hub. For more location and contact details click here.
Run by a committee of volunteers, and two part time coordinators, we are open for borrowing four days a week and our members can visit as often as they wish. We run monthly Adult Board Game Nights and hold events such as our very popular Messy Play Days.
Toy Library Coordinator
Bec has been a member of Maroondah/Croydon Toy Library since 2006 and has helped run the toy library ever since! She has three school aged kids, is a Mandarin speaker, and LOVES board games for older kids and adults such as 7 Wonders, Jaipur and Splendor or any beautiful wooden toy produced by Artiwood or VIGA.
Adel joined the toy library in early 2019 to hire party toys for her niece who was visiting from overseas and has never left! Adel was new to the area and keen to meet new friends and be a part of the local community. She staffs every second Saturday session, is a Bahasa speaker and LOVES contacting all our game boxes and cards.
