Final session Saturday 7 December 9.30 - 11.30am

All parents want the best for their children and hope them to be confident, resilient, social and empathetic, but it's not easy to help your child develop a confident sense of self. In 2019 Maroondah Toy Library will be running free, fortnightly drop-in Stay and Play Sessions for children under 5 focusing on facilitated play where children are encouraged to engage in a variety of fun and social activities.

Throughout the sessions parents have the opportunity to discuss parenting strategies and play activities with experienced play facilitators (teachers and speech therapists) with young children of their own, whilst children discover a wide range of new play and learning activities and make new friends.

There is no need to register your attendance, just show up at a session. There is no charge and you don't have to be a member to attend, although all children will need to be supervised by an accompanying adult. Sessions are held in the North Ringwood Community House - the building at the front of the Parkwood complex.

Join the toy library as a new member after visiting a session and we will credit you two months free on your annual membership to borrow from our huge range of 4400 toys, games, puzzles and activities to continue your play journey each week at home.

We acknowledge the support of the Victorian State Government's Pick My Project program in running this series of events, and the hundreds of votes from our members and supporters which helped us win the grant and make the program a reality.

December Board Game Night

Special Pre-Christmas event

Monday 16 December from 7.30pm

A monthly board game night for both toy library member and non-member adults. Usually held on the final Monday night of each month, we'll have a range of board games suitable for novices to experienced players. Bring yourself, bring a friend, bring some snacks, bring $5 and a willingness to play!

At our board game nights we play a range of fun and engaging games suitable for all levels of experience. Let us know what you'd like to play this time or bring along one of your favourites!

Don't worry if you haven't played many games before - come along and we'll teach you how to play. Most of the games we play are available to borrow from our huge collection of over 600 board games.

This is a casual, fun night and all are welcome! No need to register, just turn up on the night.
